I earned my degree in Communications from Western Washington University and worked in both Broadcasting and Advertising before settling down in Tumwater, Washington and becoming a stay at home mom for the last several years. My passion and interest led me to the Euro Institute of Skincare, where I earned my International License in Aesthetics. As the laws have gotten stricter in Washington State, I earned a Master Aesthetic license from Washington Laser Institute under the direct supervision of the wonderful and highly credited, Dr. Sabbaugh. I created Skin Fitness -A Boutique Spa, with the intention aimed to meet the uniqueness of each of my clients, integrating body, mind and spirit in every service. The philosophy at Skin Fitness is simple : "healthy is beautiful."

With my training in International Aesthetics and holistic emphasis, I have a strong practice in Ayurveda, meaning "science of life. " Recognizing that human beings are part of nature, Ayurveda describes three fundamental energies (Doshas) that govern our inner and outer environments. Ayurveda plays a role in skincare in that skin has different qualities and experiences different problems under the influence of each dosha. A full ayurvedic facial treatment is just one of my favorite services to provide. I also provide lymphatic massage and therapeutic oils in each of my facials. Using essential oils have been proven effective for centuries in penetrating the skin for ultimate health. I am proud to use and sell the ethically sourced and produced oils of the highest therapeutic quality FLORACOPIA.

On a very personal note, my view on loving your own unique skin goes back to my childhood. My first love and caretaker, my mom, has a skin condition that made her feel different, not particularly pretty and it took a toll on her emotionally and physically. I realized as a young child the impact skin can have on not just your health, but your self esteem and how you feel about yourself. It is meant to be, that I am helping to make people feel as beautiful as they truly are.
